Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you provide when you submit a business for acquisition review.
Placeholder — not yet legally reviewed. The headings below are the structure this policy needs. The operative wording must be drafted or approved by counsel before this site goes live, and must reflect how the business actually processes data (including any state-specific obligations such as CCPA/CPRA). Do not publish this page as-is.
1. Who we are
Identify the legal entity, its registered address, and a contact route for privacy enquiries.
2. Information we collect
The submission form on this site collects, at minimum:
- Full legal name, email address and telephone number
- Business name, registration type, original filing date and registration number
- Filing location (city, county, state)
- Business history answers, including revenue, banking, employees, borrowing, outstanding obligations and prior ownership
- Ownership and disclosure confirmations
3. Why we use it
State the purposes and the lawful basis for each — principally evaluating whether a submitted business meets acquisition criteria, and communicating about a potential transaction.
4. Who we share it with
Describe any disclosure to the parent holding company, professional advisers, or service providers, and confirm the position on selling personal information.
5. How long we keep it
State retention periods for submissions that proceed to a transaction and for those that are declined.
6. Your rights
Set out the access, correction, deletion and opt-out rights available to submitters, and how to exercise them.
7. Security
Describe the safeguards applied to submitted information in transit and at rest.
8. Changes to this policy
Explain how changes are notified and record the effective date.
